Muthayammal Engineering College established in the year 2000,is managed by the Muthayammal Educational Trust & Research Foundation. Currently the college offers 6 under-graduate (B.E., B.Tech.) and 10 PG programmes (M.E., MBA) affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai. The college has 11 Academic Departments and 4 Research Centres. Four departments have accredited by NBA and the Institution is accredited by TCS and Wipro.

About IEEE EMC Society Madras Chapter

The Madras chapter of the IEEE EMC Society has been formed in 2013, with the intention of providing a common platform for the EMC community in the geographical region. The region, one of the international technical hubs, housing over 500 Engineering colleges offering graduate and post-graduate courses will be able to provide a lot to the EMC community via collaborative activities. The chapter aims in creating a bridge between the specialized industries in the region to the global expertise via IEEE.

About the Seminar

Because of the current and future dramatic increases in high-speed digital circuits and high-frequency wireless products, interference in and between those systems is a rapidly growing concern in industry. Future Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduates are increasingly required to be knowledgeable of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) issues and design methodologies in their workplaces. The need for students trained in the fundamentals of EMC far exceeds the number of available graduates. This seminar is organized to create awareness in EMC education among the engineering faculty and student community. The seminar cover introduction, history of Electromagnetic Compatibility/Interference (EMC/I);Sources of EMI;Mitigating EMI; EMC Standards;Measurement Techniques; EMC computational techniques and tools; Job and Research Opportunities in EMC
